![]() This book and the author Hecht are just unforgivable. ![]() Most probably, because of this single book, I may have to repeat a year in college. The Schaum's outline on Optics, which is also written by Hecht, on the other hand, is strangely shallow and key things are missing. The language is very strange and the book basically looks more like an essay book rather than a Physics book. This book is a nightmare for students who take notes from textbooks. The book is extremely dense, the paragraphs are non-summarizable, the concepts too interwoven nothing is properly written or defined. This guy must have been on ganja while writing the book. So, I have 11 days till exams (which contains almost everything Optics, Thermo, QM, Electrodynamics, etc.) and my knowledge of Optics is almost zero, and thats only because of this book. I just wanted to get off this of my head.
